Ahhh my prediction is almost coming full circle....?

Question

Long Long ago i asked the question wondering what people thought if Mats Sundin signed with the Avalanche. I said that if Joe retires then they would pursue him more to fill the gap and I said that Joe could persuade Sundin to play along with him for one season if Sakic comes back. Rumors now say the Avalanche have interest in Sundin.

My question is that if by some chance: Sakic returns, Forsberg comes back sometime in December, AND Mats Sundin signs a cheaper deal to play for the Avs, where would the Avs rank with the other Western teams. I would say 3rd best???

The Avs are my second favourite team, Forsburg is my favourite player so that would be great. First in the Northwest for sure, unless Vancouver can turn it around. Otherwise behind Detroit, Anaheim and San Jose.

i dont really keep track of the western confrence cause im a caps fan but the avs if they do what u say they will i agree 3rd, but u did lose theodore to us.

That would be great, but just think, your pretty much missing forsberg for half the games, sakic is injury proned due to age and mats is old as well, they will be lucky to be able to dress two of the three each game, and their goaltending is probaly the worst in the league, budaj is alright, but o a starter, and raycroft, i dont know where to start with him, he was pretty much getting as much playing time as marty brodeurs back-up, but he was backing up toskala

I definately see them making a good playoff spot, They could possibly get third, but I think fourth or fifth would be more realistic

Your plan is starting to fall apart.  Joe Sakic signed a deal with the Avs.

Colorada can't afford Sundin at the rate he is being offered.  I doubt he would take a paycut to go to Colorado.
