Ahhh! my room is overwhelming!?

ok so i've had all my furniture in my room at the same place since i got it when i was seven. i decided to redo my room and stuff...but i have a BIG MESS.

ha. i have a lot of school papers, clothing, shoes, and other stuff like that and i have no clue wat to do with all of it!!!!

like i guess its not that bad, i've seen worse but how can i clean it all up without losing my sanity????

and also...any tips on getting rid of an area carpet when there's furniture on it....(i so far moved a few thing and got part of it lifted but the dressers and bookshelf...forget it!!! i couldn't move them an inch!!!)

Take it one step at a time. Work on one corner of the room at a time. Do you have any ideas about what you want to do with your room? Ask friends or your parents what they think and you can have a sleepover with friends and you could all help decorate your room.

Start with removing sutff you don't need/want.  Get a bunch of garbage bags.  Take out all of your clothes from your closet and sort them in two piles.  Things you wear and things you don't wear.  Put all the don't wears in a trash bag and mark them for donation. If you have *any* doubts about an article of clothing, throw it out.  It's just taking up space.  They have donation bins all over the place.  

Then go through your dressers and do the same with the clothes in there.

Once all of your clothes are sorted through, go through each drawer and make two piles again.  Things you use and don't use.  School papers and stuff like that are no longer needed. Throw them out or buy a folder and neatly place them in the folder.  

As you go through the stuff in your drawers you'll soon have empty drawers and then you should decide what stuff should go where.  Like in my dresser, all of my misc. stuff goes into the bottom drawer because I know I won't use it all the time.

It'll take time but if you do a little bit everyday you should get through it all.  good luck
