Ahhhh! my computer does not recognize my digital camera!?

Question

i have a canon powershot sd 1000 camera and i keep trying to connect to my pc to download my pics. but everytime i plug the usb cable in, it says "usb device not recognized"

i know you are supposed to install the cd but honestly i lost it long ago and can't think of anything else that it might be. any suggestions?

do u have a memory card take it to walmart put the pics in a cd and them put the cd in ur pc and download them  good luck

The much better and easier method is to buy a little USB card reader. They are quite cheap now, and you don't have all those problems associated with hooking up your camera.
