Ahmed Elmohamady certain he will improve for Sunderland after debut goal against West Bromwich Albion
Ahmed Elmohamady, the 24-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Egypt-c2890 international, revealed he felt he had improved considerably in his second season in the English Premier League. The Sunderland winger was certain he would further improve in the upcoming fixtures for the Black Cats.
Elmohamady initially arrived at the Stadium of Light on a trial in 2009 and managed to impress the Sunderland manager Steve Bruce. While the Black Cats failed to sign the ENPPI player on a permanent basis in the January 2010 transfer window, he joined on
a loan move the following summer.
Sunderland signed him on the long term loan deal for a fee of £500,000, with the option of making the deal permanent next summer. After 36 appearances in the Premier League for the Black Cats that season, Bruce was determined on signing Elmohamady on a more
permanent basis.
Elmohamady said in an interview:
“I feel better than I did last season and in every game I learn something new, and feel more experienced in the Premier League.”
Despite having spent a full season at the Premier League club, Elmohamady had not managed to score a goal for the Black Cats. The winger was awarded the chance in the recent Premier League 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion, where he scored a goal along
with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicklas-Bendtner-c27726 to help his side avoid another defeat.
He revealed:
“It was very good to get my first goal, I feel better for it. When you score, for any player, but me especially, it has given me a lot of confidence. There is more to come from me after this, definitely.”
He was highly motivated after his debut goal for Sunderland and was certain he would go on to score many more goals as the season progressed. Elmohamady revealed he was adjusting to English football and felt he was improving with every game.
The Egyptian winger continued:
“I have had one-and-a-half seasons here now, I'm happy on the right of midfield, or attacking and defending as a right back as well. I'll get better as every game goes by in the Premier League but the games I've played so far, I feel I've done better
than last season.”
