The out of favour top-order batsman of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, Ahmed Shehzad, could find himself in a big trouble after criticising the selection process of Pakistan cricket.
The 19-year-old opening batsman, on Tuesday questioned his ouster from the national squad to visit http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 this month as well as his omission from the list of centrally contracted players.
In an interview with a leading Pakistan sports channel, the Lahore-born said that he could not get the logic behind Pakistan Cricket Board’s decision to overlook him despite some good performances.
"I don't know the reason behind my ouster despite having scored runs recently," said the rookie batsman in an interview.
Shehzad’s surprise axe from the national squad as well as from the list of PCB centrally contracted players had led to the speculations that batsman was dropped by the board because he had created some misunderstandings between the team and management during
Pakistan’s tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 in May earlier this year.
The opener however, downplayed the suggestions that he had some role in the misunderstandings between the outgoing Pakistan coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482 during Pakistan’s Caribbean itinerary.
"I was not responsible for this dispute between the captain and coach in the West Indies,” said Shehzad adding that he has a lot of respect for Boom Boom Afridi.
The young batsman said that the hard-hitting batsman had guided him a lot and  is like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/A-Mentor-c41238 to him.
The PCB's code of conduct suggests that the centrally contracted players cannot speak to the media without permission of the board or team manager even after three months of his contract’s expiry.
A PCB official said that the board would look into the matter and find out what the player had exactly said before deciding further course of action.
The former manager of Pakistan cricket team, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Intikhab-Alam-c64380 had earlier claimed that the young batsman was overlooked by the board because of attitude problems as well as some disciplinary issues.
Intikhab had also revealed that the PCB chairman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128, had personally advised Shehzad to concentrate on cricket only, but the batsmen did not pay much heed to the chariman's suggestions.
