juan diaz just lost his 3 belts to a 36-year old nate campbell. the one left, WBC, has a soft champ named david diaz. going little bit down, the champs are namely jm marquez, edwin valero and joan guzman..

My question is , if we consider pacquiao beating marquez in their fight, who in the above mentioned can be able to stand against this man? And is it impossible for him to unify both divisions (the kind of champions they have, worsens it), in the same year? Perhaps 2009?

  1. Mahamed Ali!

  2. its not impossible to unify to weight divisions, it would be better to have one fight at lightweight rather than a serious of fights jumping between weight divisions, if Pacquiao wins the lightweight title i expect him to challenge Ricky Hatton at light-welter weight that's the big money fight............I think Joan Guzman would give Pacquiao a great fight at junior lightweight...for me Guzman is brilliant

  3. First of all, you can't unify two divisions in boxing.  You can only unify the title belts in a division.  Of course you can simultaneously win titles in two or more divisions like what the great Henry Armstrong did when he held the featherweight, lightweight and welterweight belts at the same time or when Roy Jones, then light-heavyweight champ, took a piece of the heavyweight title from John Ruiz.  So if Pacman beats Marquez, and subsequently beats David Diaz, then he'll be champ in two divisions, although eventually, he'd have to give up one of his titles as mandated by today's stupid rules.
