Ai Miyazato back at Meadows after three years
Japanese Ai Miyazato, who is back to Highland Meadows Golf Club, Ohio, to take part in the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012, has said that she will be playing at the tournament after three years, but her morale
is as high as it was in 2009 and she will try to do her best this time.
The Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012 is set to begin from August 9-12, at Ohio, and most of the top-ranked LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) stars are in the roster.
Although Miyazato has never been able to win the prestigious tournament, she looks determined to make a name for herself at Ohio.
The Jamie Farr Toledo Classic roster is full of big names such as American Stacy Lewis, Paula Creamer, Suzann Pettersen, Cristie Kerr, current world number one Yani Tseng, Mika Miyazato, Na Yeon Choi, Brittany
Lincicome, I.K. Kim, Amy Yang, Brittany Lang, Laura Davies, Natalie Gulbis, Beth Bader, Sandra Gal and Inbee Park of South Korea.
Although Miyazato appears to be high in spirits, grabbing a victory will be an uphill task. With American players vowing to do their best, players like Miyazato will have to face extra pressure as the crowd
support will likely go in favour of the national players.
However, South Korean Na Yeon Choi, who is the defending champion of the LPGA tournament, can rattle rivals, as she is eager to repeat her 2010 performance.
Speaking to the media, Miyazato said that she is not feeling any pressure, as the course and spectators are great and very supportive. She said that she knows what it feels like to play at Meadows.
“It's so nice to be back here.  Last time I played this tournament was in '09, but this is such a great tournament because the atmosphere is so much better than at other tournaments because they always have
a good crowd and the golf course is always in good shape, so it's nice to be back here,” the Japanese golfer said.
“It's been great.  I'm very happy with my game so far because I have a good feeling with my short game, so that makes my confidence, and also, I don't know, just having fun with every single tournament”.
