Ai Miyazato can atone for past mistakes at 2012 CN Canadian Women's Open

Japanese Ai Miyazato, who finished runner-up in the 2009 CN Canadian Women’s Open, is ready to atone for her past lapses when she comes face-to-face against rivals at the 2012 edition of the prestigious tournament,
set to begin from August 20-26, at The Vancouver Golf Club, Canada.
Miyazato is regarded as a strong contender on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour, as she has recorded impressive finishes in most of the events she has participated in so far.
The roster at the CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012 will not be easy, as most of the top-ranked LPGA contenders have confirmed their commitment to take part in the battle. However, the Japanese star is determined
to stand her ground and inflict a defeat on her archrivals.
In the 2009 edition of the tournament, Miyazato came close to winning the tournament, as she stood firm until the third round. The tournament held at Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club featured a formidable
field that contained players like Suzann Pettersen of Norway, Angela Stanford, Karrie Webb, Morgan Pressel and Momoko Ueda.
“I'm playing really good. Out there today I had so many birdie opportunities. I had so many birdie opportunities out there. Back nine I just couldn't hit some putts. For some reason it just didn't go in. So
I tried to hang in there and tried to enjoy in the last group playing in the last group. So, unfortunately, just 1 under par today, but I'm very satisfied,” she had said at the end of the third round of 2011 edition.
“I think I'm still, you know of course I'm still at the good position. I think I was lucky because I'm still tied for the lead”.
The Japanese prodigy displayed a solid game, but she could not hold her ground when Pettersen ramped up pressure by shooting balanced strokes on most of the holes she played. Pettersen grabbed a 5-stroke defeat
on her nearest rivals that also included Miyazato.
The LPGA giant kicked off the 2012 season in an impressive style, as she has managed to win two professional titles so far. She won her first tournament of the season at the LPGA Lotte Championship in April
2012. Then in July, she amazed her fans by winning her second title at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
