  1. You can check out the websites of the various organisations on the net; Worldvision, Oxfam, Save the Children etc. It'll depend on where you're living - I live in Australia and I found through the Oxfam Australia website (www.oxfam.org.au) that I was able to be notified of available positions and the requirements for those positions, and I'm sure the other organisations would have something similar.

  2. start with the redcross.org

and this has a long list. try peace corps, oxfam

    care

    http://www.alertnet.org/thefacts/reliefr...

read the news and see the long list with links of aid groups

http://docs.lib.duke.edu/igo/guides/ngo/  this is more aid groups than you will know waht to do with.

  3. most of these advertise their vacancies in same manners as other business and government organisation, you can contact any aid agencies with your experience, education, qualification and what you can offer them.

  4. Which country are you in? Where do you want to go? What skills do you have? What do you expect from volunteering abroad? Look as www.selfrelianceforzambia.org which is an Australian Organisation establishing a project in a rural area of the Northern Province of Zambia. They do grass-root-work, meaning working with the people in partnership and they have a great vision. It is not a well known organisation and they try to promote self help more then hand outs.

  5. Conform with the requirements required by the agencies such as documents showing your educational attainment and previous employment.
