Air Boom beat Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler to retain Tag-team Championships at h**l in a Cell
The team of Air Boom comprising of Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne took on Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler for the Tag-team Championship at WWE pay-per-view event h**l in a Cell at the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 2, 2011.
After going through weeks of tension, the two teams finally got a chance to settle their chaos in the ring and this time it was for the tag-team championship. The duo of Ziggler and Swagger did not have the same type of chemistry between them as it seemed
that Vickie Guerrero’s managerial skills were also seriously lacking.
This was a golden opportunity for Air Boom to get some retribution against Swagger and Ziggler after Guerrero had interfered in a singles bout on SmackDown. Air Boom was all set to defend their Tag-team titles against their rivals.
Air Boom put in a tremendous fight as Bourne come out with a series of high-flying blows. Kofi was also aggressive in the team. Swagger managed to get a crossface on Kingston as he tried desperately to kick out. Ziggler also came in and targeted Kingston.
He continued where Swagger left off and pounded Kingston around the ring. Ziggler managed to drop Kingston but only got a two count as Kofi kicked out of the pin. Bourne is finally tagged in by Kofi and he manages to land a moonsault on Ziggler.
Swagger and Ziggler managed to recover for a few minutes but Bourne was able to hit a hurricarana on Swagger and go for a pin. Bourne got a three count and Air Boom retained their Tag-team titles. It was an amazing match-up as both teams fought hard throughout
for a chance at the titles. The team of Ziggler and Swagger were disappointed as their manager Vickie Guerrero seems to be ineffective for them.
Air Boom put in a brilliant performance during h**l in a Cell and it will be interesting to see how they carry their winning momentum into the coming week.
