Does any one know who all was on board. I know the medic and I think I know the medic if it was who I think it was. This was a very sad thing to hear. Allan was a great guy and it saddens bme greatly to think that the EMS field has lost him. I will never forget the first time I met him. I was an emt basic student and had stopped at an mvc on my way to clinicals and he was the responding medic. He was very kind to me as a student and acting interested in my oppinion concerning the patients. If any one can tell me who all was involved in this crash I would greatly appreciate it.

  1. Pilot, Michal Baker. Medic, ALan Bragwell, Nurse, Tiffany Miles.

I knew and worked with Michal and Alan several times. They were great guys, unfortanantly I didn't know Tiffany.

This was a very sad event.

  2. Memories of perpetual smiles and admiration of dedication mingled with tears of mourning Monday for those who knew the three Air Evac Lifeteam workers who died in Sunday's fatal crash in Colbert County.

Meanwhile, investigators dragged the wreckage from the deep woods of the Freedom Hills Wildlife Management area, where the team was responding to a search for a lost hunter. The helicopter crashed as it was apparently trying to hover while centering a spotlight over the hunter to help rescue workers find him.

Michael Baker, 41, Allan Bragwell, 40, and Tiffany Miles, 29, were killed.

  3. I live in Alabama and was very saddened to hear about this.

A helicopter searching for a lost hunter in north Alabama crashed early Sunday morning, killing all three people on board, said officials with the company that owns the aircraft. Jeff Davis, a manager with the Missouri-based Air Evac E-M-S says the cause of the crash is being investigated. Davis says the helicopter went down sometime after 3 a-m.

Emergency officials identified the victims as pilot Michael Baker (hometown unavailable), Allan Bragwell and Tiffany Miles, both of Florence. Their ages were not immediately available.

According to the TimesDaily in Florence, Bragwell was interim director of emergency services at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield and Miles was a former nurse at the hospital.

Colbert County Sheriff Ronnie May says the hunter -- who has not been identified -- was found at around the time of the crash by Colbert County authorities who were conducting the primary search. May says the search for the hunter began after he disappeared after dark on Saturday in the Freedom Hills Wildlife Management Area, a 31,572-acre state hunting preserve.

May said the area is rural and heavily wooded. The hunter did not have life-threatening injuries and was transported to Keller Hospital in Sheffield.

May said the F-A-A is on scene conducting an investigation of the crash and that the National Transportation and Safety Board is en route.

I will keep these people and their families in my prayers.

  4. Hi,

I checked all the major news reports and they all say the name of the victims won't be released until all family members have been contacted. I'm very sorry I could not find out the names for you. This was a sad event to hear of.
