Question:

Air Force Medics (and other branches?) Jobs are hard to get?

I have been told on this form that the Air Force and other branches are NOT assigning people to medic positions because they are "overbooked" in this field.

My recruiter is claiming I can get in a GUARANTEE in my contract based on my qualifications for the Medic position that I want.. Is he pulling the wool over my eyes?

  1. Don't let me hear an Army recruiter tell you this.  If you have a HS diploma, and a ASVAB score over 51... then you are accepted.  Either branch of the military you join as a medic, you will do pretty much the same work... But wear a different uniform.  I'm in the army and don't know much about other branches, but I do know this; DON'T JOIN UNLESS YOU GET THE JOB YOU TRUELY WISH TO DO.

  2. Your recruiter is not lying to you, medical jobs for the Air Force are extremely hard to come by.Are you being guaranteed a specific job or being guaranteed open general?

In the Army i don't think it would be to hard to get a medic position. But in the air force it can be a challenge to get.
