  1. how old are you, I'm assuming your pretty young, instead of planning on washing out, why don't you join in a similar job, spend a couple years training then go up for it when you feel your mentally and physically ready.

  2. You have to take what is called a PAST before you are allowed to get guaranteed contract for a slot at indoc.

The link above will give you the standards (the minimums to pass, though you better be able to do far better than the minimums) for the PAST as well as a link to a very resourceful site for all of your questions reguarding Pararescue.

As for dropping, if you prepare properly prior to leaving and you are willing to push yourself beyond your natural means .. you shouldn't worry about it. To answer your question, most that quit do not get a second chance but there is a slim possibily it COULD happen. Most second chances are reserved for those that were injured or couldn't meet the standards for whatever reason, not those that quit.

    try that, its quite informative

  4. I was in basic with a guy that broke his nose doing pushups trying to pass the pre-screening. It's extremely tough to get into and then very few make it through the initial selection. You can find more information and pararescue t-shirts here http://www.proartshirts.com/

Good luck, anyone who can make it into the PJs has my respect.
