Air Force down sizing?

I heard a rumor that theres downsizing going on in the Air Force and there are alot of Job Security issues with that branch is this true or not?

I heard this from an army reruiter so he may have been pulling a fast one on me...still I want to learn more

  1. lol the airforce is one the most valuable brances in the military it is more relevant than the army and marines besides their man power.

  4. The Air Force has been cutting its numbers for a number of years primarily because the number of personnel needed in certain fields is shrinking. This has been a common trend throughout the history of airpower since World War II. The recent downsizing has been stopped so it can be reviewed by the Secretary of Defense.

    Some professions are more stable than others, but their job security is on par with the Navy or Marines. Seeing the Army is a larger and more diverse service in requirements, there will be a little more job security there.
