Air France Bus transfer from CDG to ORLY airports

Hi friends,

I am arriving CDG airport from Thailand, going to ORLY airport from CDG airport and then flying from ORLY airport to Annecy airport. For this I need to take a bus from CDG airport to ORLY airport. I will be arriving to terminal 1 of CDG airport. Here are some issues I am confused about.

1. Do I need to buy the Air France Bus voucher in advance or can I buy it at airport itself?

2. Can I buy Air France Bus voucher at terminal 1 somewhere? If yes, where can I buy it?

3. Can I get on bus in terminal 1 somewhere or do I have to go to other terminal?

4. If I have to go to other terminal, do I need to pay for shuttle bus which run around the terminals of CDG airport?

Looking for your suggestions.

Thank you.

Neutya.

  1. Hello Neutya,

Don't worry,  the Air France bus is outside terminal 1, gate 34 (but the shuttle between terminals is free anyway). You can buy the ticket either on the bus or at the 'Car Air France' counter in the airport. You'll want line 3 from CDG to Orly. They say the trip takes on average* 50 minutes (*depending on traffic, could be longer). You'll find all the info you need here: http://www.cars-airfrance.com/   Note that the price given on the English page is wrong, the actual fare is 18 euros.

Another easy way to get from CDG to Orly is the RER commuter train (more reliable in terms of traveling time). Take RER B to Antony (53 minutes) and then automatic metro Orlyval (8 minutes). At the aiport everything is clearly marked, just look for the sign that says RER Paris. But instead of getting off the train in Paris you will be continuing as far as the station called Antony (south of Paris). From there look for the Orlyval sign. It will cost you 8.20 euros for the RER and 7.20 for Orlyval.

There are cheaper ways but they are a hassle, especially after such a long trip as yours. Have a pleasant trip!
