Air India experience?

Has anybody ever flown Air India? If so what was your experiance and would you recommend them?

Only once -from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) to Delhi. Because we didn`t have Saudi airlines booked.

Im an Indian .

And it was horrible!!! I felt like it was the worst airline ever.

You don`t have separate T.V!

Don`t even ask about the food.It was horrible.For breakfast the fried egg wasn`t even fried lol

The service  was weird.

Maybe because I don`t live in India I feel that way. If u live in India it would be ok to u.

I wouldn`t recommend  Air India even to my enemy LOL!!

I've just travelled once by Air India , From Mumbai to Chicago... with a 2 hr stopover at London.

I found it okay... not good not bad too... only negative thing i found was the single TV scree and not individual LCD screens !

The food was really good ( i'm indian by the way, foreigners may /may not like it! ) , service was good.

But again, mine was a really long international journey and no airline seems good in such a horrid travel! :(

So i would say Air India is pretty decent and affordable too!

I've travelled by Delta, Lufthansa, Jet Airways, United and a lot domestic airlines. And i would say Jet Airways is probably best among them!

If you are planning to fly international try to see if Jet Airways has the flight and choose Jet Airways :) The airplanes are new, lot of legroom, individual LCD screens etc etc..

It was so so , not bad , not so good.

The food(Indian food) was good and according to my choice that I've requested for (while booking). Timing was cool ( no delay at all). Alcohol was good.

Jumbo sized air hostess aunties were funny to look at.

Irritating in flight entertainment ( bad TV and music) .

Seats were not so comfortable and aircraft  was old.

I traveled few times to and from Tokyo, Shanghai , Bangkok .

Jet Airways is the best in that sector , I must say .

I have flown to New York, Chicago, New Jersey and Los Angeles by Air-India on couple of occasions and I have noithing to complain.  Indian travellers will find the food being served in Air-India to their taste as compared to foreign airlines.  The main problem with Air-India is that their fleet of aircraft is very old.  However, they have started replacing the old aircraft with new onesssssss.
