Question:

Air New Zealand new business class: does configuration feel odd/make you nauseated?

Have a first-time trip on Air New Zealand coming up and have been wondering if anyone has experience with the new herringbone business-class cabin layout. The seats are on a 45-degree angle and face away from the windows. Does that make you feel nauseated on take off or during the flight or turbulence? Also, any advice on whether to avoid the upstairs cabin since it shares space with premium economy? Thanks!!

  1. No, the seats are great, I'd say the best biz class in the world.  If you want to look out the window, you still can and I never found the angle to be uncomfortable; on the contrary it makes it a lot easier to get in and out of the seat.

Haven't flown upstairs in the new biz seats, only the old ones, but most people like the upper cabin because it's smaller and quieter. I wouldn't worry about the riffraff in premium economy, they paid plenty for their seats and behave themselves.
