Air Rifle Questions?

Well first off since in Canada without permits we cant own Air Rifles above 500 fps were all stuck with garbage that does not hit hard and does not go far. Now for my friend has a Remington Air Master 77, its rated at 495 FPS but when I go on the Crosman website it says 755 FPS with BB's and 725 FPS with standard lead pellets. Now this is probably because its a US site and their guns are allowed to be more powerful without licenses.

Now since you can technically pump and air rifle until it breaks and unlike a break barrel where you could put a less powerful spring to limit its FPS the only way you could limit a pump air rifles FPS would be by using cheaper o-rings and seals so the gun would break if you pumped it past that that would look really bad if they said to using cheaper stuff so what I think they do is just say not to pump it beyond lets say 5 pumps when its capable of 10 just to limit the FPS.

Is their actually any difference or is it just that, they say you should not pump it pas 5 pumps but in reality its the same as the US models and can go just as fast?

And finally do rifles like the Remington Air Master 77 suffer in accuracy just because they can take both bb's and pellets?

No, that's not the only way.

    Obviously different models

    >>Remington AirMaster 77 - accuracy<<

They are not going to be highly accurate rifles by any means. Pellets will be much more accurate. BBs are not actually .177 caliber, depending upon the maker they range from .171 to .173
