I'm going to school for ATC soon and I know after school will have to go to training in Oklahoma for three months, but just curious, do they provide housing there? Like dormitory's, especially since we're only there for three months?

  1. I am currently at the academy for tower training. The FAA does NOT PROVIDE dormitory's here. They pay you 79.99 per day for food and housing. A month or so before you are about to leave you will get a package from the FAA that will provide you with a list of approved housing from the FAA. Just make sure to book in advance. Because space is sometimes limited. If you can bring a car. There is not much you can do without a car.

  2. You will be given per diem pay, and their are plenty of apartments near the academy that specialize in short term housing, catering to students.

  3. Your firm offer letter email will have a hyperlink showing several appartments/hotels near school.
