Air Travel: Why the difference in prices.......?

Southampton to somewhere in Scotland that I aint never heard of is about 340

Southampton to Teesside is 600 quid.........for a shorter distance.

Have I done me sums wrong? Or is that right?

It cant be......

  2. Not sure I don't do flying but I guess if it's a popular destination, then 'lets rip them off' might apply...:)

  3. Posh cow, flying in UK. Get on a train, or a coach.

  4. It's a basic marketing strategy called supply and demand.

    It is cheaper to fly from London to America than it is too fly from Glasgow to Stornoway (both in Scotland)

  7. Yes, that's right - you pay more for less popular routes - this is why they can put special 'offers' on the well used routes with competition.
