Question:

Air bubble stuck in stomach?

This sounds really weird, but I'm concerned. For the past few days, I've been feeling like a bubble of air has been trapped in my stomach. It doesn't hurt, but it's very uncomfortable. It always feels as if my stomach is about to growl/gurgle and release the air, but it never does. I've tried Gas-X, Zantac, massaging the area, etc, but nothing seems to work. Has this ever happened to anyone, or any idea of what it may be?

  1. Chances are it is just gas, Usually the simathicone drugs help but not always. A more vigorous movement than massage, like bending exercises may help.

I used to get this a lot, sometimes very painful and sometimes feeling like I was being stabbed in the back. Don't get it much anymore since I had my gallbladder disease treated, which I did not know I had until an acute attack sent me to the hospital..
