Air compressor wont re start

Question

just replaced piston rod and sleeve on my craftsman compressor,starts and builds presure great. turns off as it should when it kicks back on it stalls?

Power supply or too light of a cord, My compressor will do the same thing with a 100 foot extension cord.

There is a valve on the output side of the compressor that prevents the loading of the piston from the air that is already in the tank. If this valve is not working then the piston cannot overcome the pressure when it comes back on.
