No it is not OK!!!!!

No it will not work - you will just waste a lot of electricity.  The outside part of the AC needs to be outside and the inside part needs to be inside with the window sealed up well.  You can try another window, or you may need to get another AC.

You need to have "inside" sealed off from "outside" so that the air conditioner will work correctly. Pick another window or get a smaller unit.
