I have a window air conditioner unit and have had this in the same place for about 5 yrs now and for the past 2 weeks now there has been water leaking on the floor inside my home from the bottom of the unit -is this normal? Can I still run the unit with this dripping?

Thanks

  1. I would shut her down and clean her up.Sounds like it's due for a cleaning. Also check the pitch like the previous answerer stated.

  2. You need to tip the unit back a little, so that there is a slight angle to it. You may also need to clean the coils too. (The vents on the outside.)

  3. make sure the unit isn't leaning into the house. even just a little is enough to cause problems. if it's dripping down the wall or onto the floor you can quickly end up with mold problems or a rotted subfloor.
