  1. is the unit on "auto" and not "fan"? is the outdoor fan on? when you say ac wont shut off, does that mean indoor fan, compressor, and outdoor fan are all running and unit is not reaching the t-stat set point? more info please? (outdoor fan and compressor are two seperate components)

  2. You probably need more freon put in the sysem.

  3. check the thermostat with another temp device to see if it is right. a/c is abtu pump and will not do well at 100 temps it will run hard at these temps see what happens when sun goes down.

  4. Needs freon, it( the Air Conditioner) if it does there must be a leak!

  5. Put a tiny lawn sprinkler near the outside unit and let it toss a little water on the unit. It probably needs all the help it can get.

  6. I bet your coil may be frosted up.Run your fan ONLY and turn your cool off for 30 minutes to check and melt the ice. Then run her as normal and see if that helps. If it does help, your filter or coil may be dirty.

Usually it's much warmer than 75 if that's the case though.

Try it any way.In case. You may get some better cooling.
