  1. 1998 is very old for a bmw.

  2. 1998 is NOT old for a BMW. I have a friend who has a 1992 model with 340,000 miles on it and still going. Motor has great compression. The 320i that was around in the USA in the late 70's/early 80's was one of the toughest little BMWs built.

  3. The AC final stage unit should be replaced. It is at the right side of the evaporator/blower and can be accessed by removing the lower cover of the glove box.
