Umm... more specifics would help the question.  You should replace your air filter ($15-20) every 15,000-20,000 miles, or every third or fourth oil change.  Most oil changing places will tell you when you need to change it.  It is about the easiest thing to do on a car and on fords and chevys no tools are required.  If you need one go to an autoparts store and tell the guys in the front what you need, most of the time they will show you how to replace it.
