Hi, i want to be a pilot ( preferably fighters) and i was trying to decide between navy or air force. I don't like the navy's way of refueling mid air, or take offs and landing. But i do like that they are the first responders on carriers, ( i think). What is the difference between their trainings and duties. Also i have heard that the navy pilots are more free then the air force pilots to do what they like, ( just a rumor i think) but if anybody has any knowledge please help. Thanks

  1. If you want more detailed information about Navy aviation head to http://www.mynavyonline.com I'm KJC88 there we can help a lot more and let you know specifics.

  2. basically you will go through the general aviation course where you earn your different licenses and ratings.  All of this gets you a spot in the class whether if first middle or last is up to you.  Usually the first few pick what plane they want and the others is an as needed basis.  Then you train specifically on that plane.  They say the Air Force is more competitive, therefore less chance of deciding your destiny.
