  1. There are lots.....and lots....aand lots of jobs open to you.   Your recruiter or the guys at meps should have had a huge list showing you all the jobs you qualify for.  If you want to train dogs then i believe thats secuirty forces; a lot of them get deployed and also its usually a 12hrs shift.  I just got 3c031 (communications computer support). There phasing out a lot of computer jobs.  I would think long and hard about the jobs you want.  And just pick those jobs.  Your recuirter might push you to go into an Open field.  you can do taht if you just want to get in; but its going to be a 4-6 year job.  Pick a good one

  2. I was a 3A0 (Information Manager) when I was in.  I loved it.  My first job was very people oriented, my second job was strictly computers and networking, my last job was for a base commander as the protocol nut. :)  It's very diverse, every single base has them so you're not limited on assignments, plus you can even go to an Embassy, and other service branch assignments.

  3. Being a military dog handler, is part of security forces , under the general area.

But you have to be an E-4 before you can apply to be a dog handler.

It is not an entry level job.
