after the air force academy, is it possible to become a cargo pilot, i don't know the technical name for it, but i am curious because I would not want to be a fighter pilot. I know somebody has to hall the cargo to different bases. So, could that happen?

  1. When you go to pilot training, you apply for certain positions, not everybody goes to pilot training to be a fighter pilot.  My grandfather flew huge C130s with bunches of cargo for more than 20 years.

  2. if you don't want to become a fighter pilot, you won't be forced to be one.  someone that wants to be a fighter pilot can end up flying cargo, but they only take willing people to fly fighters and bombers.

  3. Here's an article on becoming a pilot.
