Air freshener?

Question

for inside the car. the car always stinks and i need something natural to put in there to help the smell. my husband doesn't like the car fresheners you buy in the store so we need natural ideas. thank you!

I find that most commercial items are "chemically smelling" so I don't really enjoy them, and they sometimes set off my allergies depending on their ingredients.

I like to take sticks of incense that I find pleasant and put them in the door compartment of the car.  (Where you usually put maps or other items.)  If the smell is too strong only put in a few, if it is too weak put in more.  

Make sure you don't put them directly on carpet as some incense sticks will stain.

i went to an ashram and they had air freshners that you spray, but they weren't aerosol. it was also organic i believe, i don't remember the name unfortunately, but you could try to google non-aerosol or organic air freshners/sprays. also, you could try  scrubbing the car with something like mint or any herb you like the smell of. another alternative is that there's a brand of cleaning supplies called seventh generation, and they might have a cleaner or an air freshner! good luck!

You should have a bottle of febreeze. That stuff works so well!!! And the smell isn't over powering. But natural? You might wanna check out like a whole foods store. Most air fresheners you find now aren't all that natural so i guess this is kind of a tough one.

it may sound a little funny but go to the dollar store and get the stuff in the can that u put in the car. take the pieces out and put them under the car seats and just leave them....your car will REALLY smell like the stuff! i like the strawberry ones myself!!

I use a fresh air to go specifically designed for cars and your issue of a stinky car, they work great.

what i like to do is buy a kind of incense that i like and open the whole pack and put it somewhere in the car and it will smell up the whole car. i don't know if that is your kind of thing but just know that there are lots of different scents out there and you are bound to find one you like. if the smell is really bad, i light one on occasion, let it burn for a minute or so then put it out.

I find all cars stink.

The answer is to sell the car and walk or pedal.  Hire a car when you need one and you will find they are generally very clean and new.

Not only will you solve the problem of smells, you will also have fewer money worries and your health and fitness will improve.

Baking Soda!  Arm and Hammer has those special round things that go in the fridge.  I keep one in the car!
