Question:

Air in spa hose?

Hello,

We recently drained our spa to put in new water and jet line #1 is not working. The pump is working, but nothing is coming out of the jets This happened before and a tech said there was air in the hose. He fixed it, but I don't know how. It did not take him very long and I'm wondering if it is something that I can do myself. Does anyone know how to clear the air bubble?

  1. you can get a device called a drain jet at a hardware store (the one made from canvas is the best)..you put device on end of water hose and force water through your skimmer to remove air..if you have a second suction fitting you may have to plug it.

  2. And if that doesn't work pull off the side panel or open the equipment door and locate "jet pump 1". It should have pipes attached to it with threaded unions. All you have to do is loosen the union at the front of the pump, you will hear the air bleeding out and when water starts to come out tighten it back up. That should prime the pump.
