Air soft guns over boarder?

my friend went to the USA to get air soft guns but he didn't because he said there replicas and they would be confiscated. is there any laws saying that you cant bring air soft guns over the boarder???

  1. Most airsoft guns are prohibited because they closely resemble real firearms. I suspect you may be allowed to bring in a gun that meets Canadian (I'm assuming you're talking US / Canada border) requirements of being clear or transparent with a muzzle velocity of 500 fps or less.
