Question:

Air traffic control, transfer from military to civilian?

I am joining the air force and hoping for air traffic control, if i get this and pass the training and fulfill my obligation to the military, what is the transfer to civilian air traffic control like, is it much different? is there any training courses i would need to do before i would be able to be a civilian atc?

Yes there is, only a few weeks and its paid, so who cares  The difference is civilian planes tend to be slower and less able to make sharp turns and in the FAA you deal with more civilian airplanes.  You'll figure it out.  Just if you make the military to civilian switch remember the military and civilian world don't operate 100% the same so be open to change.  Don't tell someone how you did it in the military is just fine in the civilian world.
