does anyone know approximately what airlines charge for an infant (over 2 years old)? She cant be held as a lap baby anymore because of her age. I was just wondering how much of a discount they give -- if any. thanks

  1. In all airlines:

Infants (less then 2 yrs) are free

Children (2-12 yrs) half a ticket

Youth (12-23 yrs) three quarter a ticket

    Adults (above 23yrs) complete ticket

  2. Although some people say there are discounted fares for children, when I do a search on basic flights on Expedia and Travelocity, I find no discounts.  As far as I can tell, children over two pay full fare.

I'd be happy to admit I'm wrong if someone else can provide you evidence otherwise.

  3. It all depends on the airlines but from my own experience if you're flying internationally, for children 2-11 years old, you will be paying 75% from the adult ticket price (that's 25% discount). It might be different for domestic flights tho'.
