  1. You will claim your bags and clear customs at your US port of entry, which will be North Carolina.  In most instances, depending on your airport, you can immediately re-check your bags after clearing customs and immigration to your final destination.  Since your flight from North Carolina to Boston is a domestic flight, there's no real way to segregate out passengers who are arriving from an international destination when you land.

    Safe travels!

  2. When you arrive in Charlotte ( I am guessing its Charlotte) you will immediatly go through US immigration. After that, you will claim your bags and go through the customs check-point. Just after customs, there is a Re-check baggage belt for domestic connections. You will then put your bags on that belt, and they will continue on to your next flight. Its alot easier then it sounds.
