AirPort Express help???

does the airport express give its own wi- fi network when you plug it in?? or does it only work when connected with a cable modem??

Like any router when plugged in it creates its own 'network'.

If you are asking if it provides Internet and shares it with other users connected to the airport express. Then yes it will only provide internet when connected to a dsl/cable modem when configured correctly.
