Airbags didn't Deploy (video included)?

Question

i have a 2008 Cadillac CTS that has with 8 Airbags

i had an accident two nights ago,

the other car hit my car from the left side (driver side)

and Seriously damaging both front/rear doors

the problem is the side airbags didn't deploy !! should i make a complaint to cadillac? they would replace my car maybe..?

8 airbags makes me think that you have front and rear regular airbags and front and rear side airbags. In an accident like the one you had, which seems to be much more of a side swipe than a t-bone, it is unlikely that the side bags would deploy. They are set to only go off if the impact has a direct force over a certain amount to prevent excessive repair cost.

unless you have a side curtain air bag, the front and rear impact sensors would not have triggered in this accident. if you are concerned about it, i would go back and talk to an individual at Cadillac.

unless your seriously injured the car did exactly as designed the air bags would not have done you any good or have protected your car airbags are only designed to go off under certain circumstances and not every accident
