  1. The preferred is mild soap and water. If possible rinse before wash. Do not use windex .


  2. Don't use a chemical that will melt or damage the plastic.

  3. It really depends on the type of material it is made out of. I would read the Pilots Operating Handbook. If it doesn't tell you here are some solutions:

    Don't use hard degreesers, don't use anything with mineral spirits, the safest thing to use is probably dish detergent or a car wash solution that's safe, non toxic. Make sure to take care in covering all holes and vents such as air cabin vents, ports and tubes with yellow tape that is also non toxic. Also wash it in the shade if at all possible and put a good wax job on the belly to keep oil off.
