Aircraft break temperature monitoring system?

folks i have abasic introduction to this system but i dont have any solid info... i need information of a Aircraft break temperature monitoring system dosnt matter which aircraft it is... please guys help me out

  1. Well, the acft I fly on has thermistors that have small strips of metal inside that flex when heated.  Once they strech enough small contacts complete the circuit and a light is illuminated.  

    Also there are fusible plugs in each wheel that will melt at a certain temp so that the tire wont explode causing more problems


  2. if you mean aircraft brakes, nowadays brakes are mostly carbon these brakes also heats up but easy to cool down.

    Brakes have transducers which translates the heat generated into temperature reading. Modern aircraft (A340,A330 &A320) have brake temperature indication in the ECAM Brakes and Wheel page. The tire pressure of each tires is indicated (another feature is tire pressure indicating sys.) above it are eyebrows which becomes thicker and dark green if brake tempearature is rising.

    the fusible plugs are connected in the wheel hub and in case of over-tempearture it will melt and deflate the wheel.
