  1. It is an excellent career, very rewarding - at least it has been in my case for 32 years. I never did the same thing for two days in a row. I never sat at my desk all day long. I got to invent things and filed several patents. I got to see my designs running in the test cell and on the aircraft. I worked with some of the nicest and most intelligent people in the world. I laughed a lot and worked really hard. I will not discuss my salary, but I am enjoying a comfortable retirement and still acting as a consultant.

Any career is what you make it. You could do a lot worse than aerospace engineering.

  2. I am also 14 and would like to be an aerospace engineer. Go to this sight and you can calculate your salary.

  3. first how are your math skills.... you need to know and like algebra one and two and trig  and calculous and bolean and a lot of boaring subjucts... if your math skills aro good all a in class then engineering is for you.. any engineering is a lot of knowledge and study.. and only you can tell if its a good job.. someting that you like to do is not work at all ok.

  4. I've been working for Cessna for 3 yrs now and I make about $65,000/yr.  Right now entry level people are coming in for about $50,000/$55,000.  In about 10 yrs from now when you get out of college you could be expecting to start around $75,000/$80,000.

    Also, I love my job.
