Airforce Harlem heads the entries for Bet With The Tote A3 525 Final on 23rd February
Shelbourne Park is to host the Grade A3 Bet With The Tote A3 525 Final on Thursday, 23rd February. The race has the prize money of €700 and has attracted a field of six runners. It will be raced over 525 yards flat.
The participants include Small Print, Aero Prince, Forest Rock, Droopys Cher, Airforce Harlem and Droopys Leonard.
The two-year-old Airforce Harlem, Bit Chili’s black son out of b***h Cill Dubh Fergie, has raced four times through his career. He began his 2012 campaign on 5th January and was positioned second in the first try.
Airforce Harlem was second behind the 6/4 favourite of the race, Monleek Force. He went across the wire in 29.45 seconds. Then on 12th January, he claimed the Grade A3 Bet With The Tote A3 525 Final at Shelbourne Park. Airforce Harlem was across the wire in 29.35 seconds and beat the 1/3 favourite of the race, Monleek Force into the third position.
His next start in the Grade A3 Bet With The Tote A3 525 Semi-Final on 16th February was also a victory. He was on the other side of the wire in 28.81 seconds, leading by four lengths.
The evening’s favourite, Small Print, parked right behind the winner.
Winning today’s race will mean that Airforce Harlem can strike his career hat trick.
Another competent hound on the field is Aero Prince, Head Bound’s two-year-old black son out of b***h Hondo On Air. He penetrated the new season on 10th February and has only improved in the two starts that he has made this far.
On 10th February, Aero Prince was the runner up of a 324 yards race which was won by Rathanny Blackie who clocked the distance in 18.03 seconds, leading by ½ a length.
He struck his seasonal debut victory on 16th February in the Grade A3 Bet With The Tote A3 525 Semi-Final at the Shelbourne Park. Aero Prince took 28.77 seconds to race across the wire and led by 1 ½ length.
The 6/4 favourite of the race, Bawnfune Bound, finished the race in the end. He is testing his luck with third start of the new season today. If he keeps a grip on the steady performance then he might just be able to over throw Airforce Harlem.
