Airforce Newyork and Aero Joker land Heat 1 and 2 of the Tony Byerley Quicksilver Trophy at Romford
Aero Joker and Airforce Newyork crushed all competition, as they emerged victorious from the Grade OR Tony Byerley Quicksilver Trophy – Heat 1 and 2, respectively.

Both the races covered a distance of 575 metres for £150.
Aero Joker used her brisk pace, as she conquered the first heat.

The odds worked in her favour as she raced with a favourite tag of 4 to 7.

As soon as she broke free from trap 3, she mustered up enough pace to lead the pack in the opening stages of the race.
The daughter of Pacific Mile, out of Free To Air, finished 3 ½ lengths before Ballintine Molly, and completed the race in 35.54 seconds.
The third place was secured by Mountjoy Orion, daughter of Ballymac Maeve, out of Star Of Dromin, who fell ½ a length behind the runner-up, and completed the distance in 35.86 seconds.
It seems that trainer M. Wallis is taking his hounds in the right direction, as all the placed positions were obtained by his trainees.

The R. Holloway trained Airforce Newyork dominated the second heat, and took home the prize as he broke free from trap 2.

Already the odds were stacked in his favour as he raced as the evening’s favourite, but it was his speedy getaway from the start that turned heads.
The son of Westmead Hawk, out of Wee Amy, demonstrated his potential, as he landed the victory, 2 ¾ lengths ahead of the P. Young trained, Coolavanny Fairy, who entered the race from the third trap.
Hugo You Go, son of Goldmine Ramble, out of No Joke Sherry, delivered a solid performance and finished the race in third place, 2 ½ lengths after the runner-up.
The winner completed the race in 35.28 seconds, the runner-up in 35.50 seconds and the third place finisher in 35.70 seconds.
P. Young ran two of his other hounds, Rushmoor Topsie and Swabys Olly, who secured the fourth and the fifth place, respectively.
Aero Joker and Airforce Newyork will compete head to head in the event scheduled to take place on Friday, 11th May, 2012.
