Airforce Newyork seeking victory in the Good Friday Maiden Stayers at Romford on 6th April
Romford is to become home for the Good Friday Maiden Stayers over 575 metres on Friday, 6th April. The lineup of the six hounds comprises of Airforce Newyork, Envy Apple King, Colyrow Lass, Derders Mia, Dorcas Lane and Holdem Angel.
Leading the lineup with the best credentials is Airforce Newyork, Westmead Hawk’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Wee Amy. The first six races of his 2012 season were failures and it was only after missing these many races that Airforce Newyork finally
did not only win rather struck a hat trick.
The training session that Airforce Newyork went through on 14th January over 574 yards that he covered in 28.99 seconds did not prove out to be as effective as was the second drill during the season.
After missing out on six races, Airforce Newyork practiced over 380 metres at Crayford on 13th March in 23.54 seconds. Now this time around it served the purpose that it was meant for.
On 17th March, Airforce Newyork won a 380 metres race at Crayford after completing the trip in 23.32 seconds and leading the runner up of the race, Castle Comet, by a good ten and a half length.
As if avenging for the losses that he incurred at the beginning of the season, Airforce Newyork bagged the second success of the season on 20th March. He won a 400 metres race at Romford by reaching the other end of the wire in 24.38 seconds.
The runner up of the race, Hoof It, was adrift by three lengths.
Completing the trio and striking a hat trick, Airforce Newyork won the Coral.Co.UK Maiden on 29th March by completing the 515 metres trip in 29.55 seconds and leading by six lengths. Cals Goinghome qualified as the runner up of the race after
racing for 30.03 seconds.
The 5/4 favourite of the race, Tullna Puma, finished fourth.
The most recent race that Airforce Newyork took part in resulted in a third position in the Coral On TV Maiden Stayers Trophy – Heat 3 on 2nd April at Romford over 575 metres.
A fresh loss will provoke him to claim the race tonight.
