Airforce Spirit spiriting to win Hurdle Stakes – Heat 1
Airforce Spirit is likely to unleash a fantastic run at Sittingbourne racecourse in a bid to clinch the title of Sittingbourne Hurdle Stakes – Heat 1 that will take place on Sunday, April 22.
The high-voltage Open Race over a distance of 480 meters is scheduled to begin at 19:33 (GMT). For the prize cheque of £100, Airforce Spirit will compete confidently against Druids Gaffney, Taylors Trophy, Any Questions, Johnnys Way and Crofter.
The R. Holloway-trained white and black dog accomplished a marvellous hat-trick during March 2012. The three-year-old veteran hound moved ahead to grab 3rd and 2nd positions in the two subsequent races.
The dashing dog fought well and finished 3rd in his last outing on April 14. Overall, he owns a terrific track record.
The talented son of Tyrur Lee out of Loyal Irish is going to run at Sittingbourne for the very first time in his career. This thing may go against him but the maverick sprinter will surely be able to read the ground condition in no time.
If Airforce Spirit manages to handle the track well and does not lose his stamina, his chances to finish first in the race will be as high as 90 percent.
However, two of the favourite hound’s competitors like Taylors Trophy and Johnnys Way can give him fairly tough time.
Taylors Trophy bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs during March 2012. Prior to this, the T. Taylor-trained brindle dog had grabbed a runner-up spot on March 10. In the first month of the calendar year, he achieved two consecutive 2nd spots.
On the other hand, Johnnys Way won two races in a row during the first half of February 2012. B. O'Sullivan’s blue dog went ahead to finish first by a big margin of 7 lengths in his last outing on April 18. As a whole, he has a number of iconic feats to
his name.
In this situation, it is anticipated that the race will be packed with twists and turns. Airforce Spirit will have to pass through some arduous challenges in order to cross the boundary strap ahead of all. Good luck to all the contestants.
