Airforce Tom to stamp his rivals in London Road Stayers
Little Spark, a force to be reckoned in Romforddogs.com Hurdles
Airforce Tom is more than capable of throwing a spanner in the works. The black dog is expected to raise his game and present a classy act in the London Road Stayers, to be held at Romford on Friday night. The 575 metres open race is set to start at 20:50
(GMT).
Crash’s son made a couple of unlucky rides before going to Henlow, where he sealed an excellent victory last month. In a 550 metres race, he ensured the top position by 3½ lengths. After an easy win, The R. Holloway-trained lost his direction and as a result,
ended up third last time around.
The conditions are likely to suit him today and therefore, one can expect him to bounce back and secure the first position. Out of others, Rockburst Lenny seems to be the strongest runner.
The black dog has the ability to make a fine finish. He is running at Romford after a good while, and this is the only thing that might prevent the punters from supporting him.
Coolavanny Fairy is worth a second glance, but wins are not coming to her way these days. Ethans Pick tends to run a solid race over four and six bends. However, we don’t expect him to dominate the proceedings. Monlena Rumble is out to prove that his recent
shock win wasn’t a one-off.
Rockburst Lenny is a powerful runner, but still it will be a good move to stick with Airforce Tom, who is all set to return to Romford with a bang.
Romforddogs.com Hurdles is another high profile meeting, getting underway at 21:06 (GMT). Little Spark can easily be declared favour following his recent strike. In a similar race, the black dog did a very good job to grab the first prize by 1¾ lengths,
showing it to the whole greyhound fraternity that he is still a force.
Airforce Spirit was fourth behind Little Spark last time, and we don’t expect him to step up on that. Belief will be a huge threat tonight, despite the fact that he has been unlucky over the past few days. The black dog is the type that you ignore at your
peril.
Jay Tee Hawk was not disgraced last time, as he finished third behind Little Spark. P. Young’s charge does not have an impressive strike-rate. Farloe Bowser’s recent efforts show that he has started to find his feet over the obstacles. Therefore, he cannot
be ruled out of the equation.
The Springbok finalist, Cabra Legend, is returning to fray after red card. The white and fawn dog is expected to make things a lot problematic for Little Spark, but M. Locke’s 5-year-old veteran will be able to establish his dominance. Good luck to all the
runners.
