Airforce Zulu expected to win Sis Mini Final – Shelbourne Park Preview
Airforce Zulu is weighing his wings to fly high at Shelbourne Park racecourse where he will run tonight, March 17 for the prestigious title of Sis Mini Open 525 Final.
The P. Hennessy-trained black dog has drawn a big bankroll ahead of the high-profile Open Race which is scheduled to start at 21:30 (GMT).
For the huge prize money worth €1000, the dashing dog will compete against Swords Star, Piercestown Buzz, Bellmore Woody, Beany Tunes and Rathbawn Tommy.
Since making his debut in November 2011, the two-year-old novice runner has been at the peak of his form.
After winning a couple of consecutive races during December 2011, he went on to bag a big victory in his last outing on March 10, 2012.
The son of Westmead Hawk out of Aclamon Rosie possesses plenty of talent and fighting spirit which make him as the hot favourite contender for top spot in tonight’s thriller.
The maverick dog will surely show a decent run on 525y Flat course and browbeat his rivals convincingly in order to add a glaring triumph to his portfolio.
Though Airforce Zulu’s chances to finish first are more than 90 percent but some of his competitors like Swords Star and Rathbawn Tommy can cause upsets.
Swords Star also owns an excellent track record. After winning a race each in January and February 2012, Gilbert’s black dog moved forward to finish first in his last outing on March 10.
This recent success streak has perked up the confidence of the young hound to a great extent.
On the other hand, Rathbawn Tommy bagged two consecutive victories during the month of February 2012. Prior to this, the trainee of Dooley had won a race each in September, October and November 2011. The black dog finished third in his last start on March
10.
In this situation, the Final is anticipated to be a heated competition. Airforce Zulu will have to apply utmost effort in a bid to dominate his competitors. Let us see how the talented dog struggles for success. Good luck to him.
