Airline Help? Liquids?

i know you can bring 3 oz of a liquid with you in carry-on if its in a ziploc bag, but what about in your luggage? like, for example, can i put my 9 oz bottle of hair mousse in my luggage with my clothes? ive looked on the tsa website and i can't find anything to answer my question. thanks for the help!

  1. No that's enough to blow a hole in the side of a plane.


  2. You can  travel with pump aerosols, . You could take a quart bottle in your checked luggage and then buy a small one (3.4 oz) to put in your carry on and refill as you need it.

  3. All liquids on your carry on have to be in a quart size clear plastic ziploc bag and 3.4 oz or smaller.  There are a few exceptions to this rule:

    "Declare larger liquids. Medications, baby formula and food, breast milk, and juice are allowed in reasonable quantities exceeding three ounces and are not required to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint."

    For you check on luggage you are alloweed liquids as long as they aren't liquids toxic or hazaderous, ie: gasoline, lighter fluid, etc. So enjoy your bottle of mousse in your checked bags and not in your carry on... :)
