Airline Pilot Experience Question.?

Question

I know airlines have a necessary amount of hours you have to have flown to get a job, but in actuality how many hours do you really need to be a good candidate for both a regional and large commercial carrier?

1000 turbine PIC isn't enough.  1000 jet PIC might not be enough if the time is in a small jet.

No jason part 121 does not specify pilot experience.

Regional:  1000 hours total time, 100 hours multi-enige

Major:  5000+ hours, 1000 turbine PIC under Part 121.

These are just estimates, it changed almost daily.  Some people get hired with less, some with more.
