I've been wanting to ask this question for a while now, but I'm really lazy, so here it goes; I finnaly decided to go to ATP in Jacksonville FL, I'm 18, and I was wondering if the jacksonville location was good. I am kinda worried because I need to reserve a class start date for June, but I'm not going to FL until May, n I'm afraid that I'll have to wait until July or August. I am planning to do the 90 fast track commercial pilot program (since I have my PPL) and then instruct for them. but my question is, will I get hired in the same location ( CRG airport) after I finish the 90 day program????? what about the housing??? is it nice??? where is it??? too many questions!!!! lol, and 1 more question, I am planning to finish at 19, probably instruct for a year and look for a job at 19 or 20, so, are there any regionals hiring at 19 or 20???? and my last question (I swear) Is the whole program worth it???? please explain why!! :D Thanks a lot! this is the second time I ask this question :-

  1. dont wana ruin ur dream bro...but there is like 95% chance that any regional or any aviaiton shcool will ever hire you beucase due to your age a 19 year old....u seem confident but there is no chance that going to happen try when ur like 21 or 22 with experince of flight time....and JACKSONVILLE SUCKS for the record!!

  2. You probably shouldn't listen to people who don't have a clue as to what they are talking about (Denny 1).  Airlines will hire you.  I'm a Captain/Check Airman for a regional airline and I have recently been training new First Officers as young as 19 years old.  They usually have at least 300 hours total flight time.  For the the next year or two, regional airlines will be hiring like mad.  Some companies may come and go, but there will be a pilot shortage.

I don't have any real experience with ATP in JAX, I took my ATP written there but that was it.

If you love to fly it is worth it.  You don't make a whole lot of money starting out, but after a few years you can make a decent living, even at a regional airline.
